2024 Travel Awards
SONA is pleased to announce the availability of three travel awards ($650 each) to support trainee attendance at the 2024 Society for Neuroscience (SfN) meeting, which will be held October 5-9 in Chicago, IL.
Eligibility:
All undergraduate students, Master’s students, Ph.D. students, and postdoctoral researchers who:
- submitted a first-author abstract to SfN 2024;
- were enrolled in a program at a southern Ontario university at the time of submission of the SfN abstract;
and - attended the SONA 2024 meeting in Waterloo.
Submission Materials:
- The abstract submitted to SfN 2024;
- a current CV;
- a one-page essay on how SfN attendance benefits the applicant’s career goals.

Letter of Support
A confidential letter of support should be emailed directly to by the applicant’s research advisor by the deadline below; please ensure that the applicant's name is identified in the letter.
Deadline:
Applications are due by 5 pm on June 7, 2024. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Notification:
Applications will be reviewed by a committee. Successful applicants will be notified by email by end of June, 2024.
